Nancy Atchue, LAAC, AADC, is the founder of At The Crossroads Therapy and Rooted Practice, two sister ventures dedicated to raising the standard of addiction and mental health care. A Licensed Associate Addiction Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and Motivational Interviewing practitioner, she brings more than fifteen years of experience in substance use treatment, trauma recovery, and group counseling across residential, IOP, PHP, and private practice settings.

Through At The Crossroads Therapy, Nancy provides telehealth-based addiction and trauma therapy with a special focus on veterans, first responders, and others in high- stress careers. A U.S. Army veteran and former law enforcement professional herself, she offers clients a therapist who understands the culture, pressures, and stigma around seeking help from the inside out. Her work is grounded in CBT, trauma-informed care, and deeply practical, skills-focused interventions that help clients break cycles of

addiction, process moral injury and PTSD, and rebuild relationships and purpose.

As founder and curriculum architect of Rooted Practice, Nancy designs evidence-based, SAMHSA-aligned group curricula, facilitator guides, and training tools that integrate co-occurring mental health and substance use treatment. Rooted Practice resources support thousands of sessions and hundreds of clinicians across multiple levels of care, helping programs deliver consistent, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented groups without burning out their staff. Nancy holds a Master of Science in Addiction Counseling (Magna Cum Laude) and a Master of Arts in Sociological Practice (Summa Cum Laude), and is licensed or credentialed to provide addiction treatment in Arizona, California, and Alaska.
